As I put Aeryn to bed tonight (usually what Tom does but he worked late), she offered up her own prayer instead of "Now I lay me down to sleep..." I had never heard her make up a prayer, so I will do my best to record it, although some of it was very quiet and I couldn't understand it all.
"Dear Lord,
I gonna give you something. I gonna give you some sausage and meat. Dear Lord, I pray for the North Pole and the South Pole."
There was much more that I couldn't understand or hear. I wish I could have actually recorded it - what a cute prayer. I'm sure the dear Lord was as happy as I was!
